About Me

Hello! I'm Kassandra, and welcome to my photography and lifestyle blog.

I have spent all my years in West Virginia.  I was born and raised in Wheeling, went to Alderson-Broaddus College for 5 years to obtain my Bachelor's and ultimately Master's degree.  I now practice as a Physician Assistant in Morgantown, WV in Cardiology.  I moonlighted in urgent care as well as in a internal/medicine hospitalist practice but found that working extra and on the weekends wasn't worth it anymore.  I loved both jobs (one for 3 years and one for only 1) but I found I was unable to grow and develop my love for photography without any free time (go figure!)  So October of 2012 I quit moonlight and haven't looked back.  I have done many boudoir sessions (my favorite) and plenty of families, newborns, and engagements.  I plan to second shoot a few weddings in 2013.

I married my college sweetheart August of 2010.  He works even more than I did at 2 jobs and is the most dedicated, hardworking, grounded, stubborn person I know ;)

We currently reside in Morgantown, WV but plan to move to Preston County where we have purchased 2 acres to build a log home.  The photos above were taken by Jessica Fike, a local photographer with whom I have networked and as well as had a session! (more to come on the log home plans in a future blog post!)

The Kassandra Olgers Photography Blog (KOP for short) includes some of my recent work, recipe experiments, girly topics (make up, fashion, etc), and general musings from a medical profession gone photog on the weekends.
